TERA Cable sharing demonstrated in Oman
As part of its Middle East expansion programme, Siemon recently cosponsored the ArabTelsat 2007 Conference and Exhibition in Muscat, Oman. One of the themes for the event was the delivery of triple-play services and Regional Sales Manager John Kellow presented Siemon's TERA solution as a standards-based option for the distribution of multiple services within the home.
Siemon's exhibition stand featured a live demonstration with data, video and voice all being carried over a single TERA link. The display attracted much attention and visitors were impressed to learn that, as well as its ability to transmit multiple applications. The TERA product set offers the worlds highest standards-compliant copper cabling performance.
Oman has an ambitious infrastructure development plan rivalling that of its neighbours in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. According to Kellow, "The Omani Government and private sectors recognise the advantage of investing in the best quality and highest performing systems available. With the help of our regional Distributor, Mart Network Solutions, Siemon plans to lead the way by offering them unparalleled network cabling performance and Return on Investment."
